Browse the breadth and depth of innovative, technology-centric solutions implemented by the Texas A&M Center for Applied Technology (TCAT) to address the needs of its diverse customer base.
An exercise management system used to help train both civilian and military emergency response personnel in large-scale incident management and planning. Over 25,000 U.S. and international emergency responders have been trained in exercises ranging from the incident command post up to the state operations level.
A simulation-based, virtual training system to support TEEX’s Industrial Incident Management and Incident Command training program. This system immerses trainees into highly realistic situations, provides opportunities to exercise management and response doctrine within situation-specific emergencies, and enables for a richer and more effective training experience for participants.
A web-based information dashboard developed for the USDA that can be used for incident management, as well as day-to-day planning and disease monitoring and surveillance. This tool has been used by APHIS for tracking a real-world foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in South Korea, by State Animal Health Officials to understand and manage animal health related events within their state, and by producers to monitor and assess disease status across their production systems. This is one perspective of the AgConnect system.
Developed innovative technology to support secure data compartmentalization, sharing, visualization, and analysis that enables animal producers to maintain business continuity and perform risk management during an active animal disease outbreak, thereby minimizing business downtime and negative effects on the U.S. economy.
A system for integrating and analyzing syndromic surveillance data captured from mobile apps and other relevant sources. The data is aggregated and combined with embedded visualization and analysis tools to help determine baseline conditions in order to detect any anomalies that may signal the onset of an animal disease outbreak. This is one perspective of the AgConnect system.
Supported edge and corner detection and analysis algorithms and visual modeling and rendering for a real-time 3D trajectory tracking and guidance system utilizing novel event-based image sensing for vehicle docking.
Fletcher Allen Specialized Telemedicine for Supporting Transfer And Rescue
Status: CompletedDesigned, developed, deployed, and supported a fleet of five digital ambulances for the Fletcher Allen Level 1 trauma center in Burlington, Vermont. Also fielded a standalone deployable wireless on-scene camera as well as portable “Grab & Go” cases to be used with ambulances outfitted with minimal pre-install equipment.
Executed political, military, economic, social, infrastructure, information, physical environment, and time-based (PMESII+2) scenarios to anticipate trends over 1-3 month turns within 1-3 year periods to provide comprehensive analysis of coercion tipping points, insurgent growth rate, relationally based information exchange from competing non-combatant groups, and irregular battle command/PSYOP.
System integrator for the federated Human Social Cultural Behavior (HSCB) training platform for soldiers to hone negotiating skills required to derive critical terror network information from the non-combatant population. The Hybrid Irregular Warfare/Improvised Explosive Device Network-defeat Toolkit (HI²NT) federation combined the First-Person Cultural Trainer (FPCT) interactive 3D environment with the computer-generated forces of One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF), the HSCB simulated operational environment of the Joint Non-kinetic Effects Model (JNEM), and the Process-oriented Data Visualization (ProDV) data analytics platform.
Developed an infrastructure and essential services (IES) module that tracks and manages critical services such as water, electrical and agriculture modeling for a specific areas of operation within simulation federations.
