San Antonio Operations (SAO) is a unique collaboration that includes the synergistic operations of the staff from TCAT San Antonio Operations (SAO) and staff from the Georgia Tech Research Institute located at Brooks City-Base, Texas. TCAT San Antonio has two well established engineering labs; the Environmental and Sustainability Lab established in 1994 and the newer Energy and Automation Laboratory established in 2000. This team of experienced professional engineers, scientists, and medical experts provide world-class environmental and energy engineering as well as management services to government and private sector clients. We are located throughout the United States and provide clients with the technical and management capabilities needed at their sites. SAO has the ability to cross interdisciplinary academic boundaries and to couple research strengths with experiences and successes of private industry, military, and other governmental agencies by our unique reach back to the Texas A&M University System's 11 different campuses. In this way, we can better assist organizations to stay on the forefront of technology, to plan for future projects, and to solve current problems. Our centralized project organization, cost efficiency, effective communication, and strong line management techniques have proven successful for our clients on past and ongoing environmental investigations.
SAO's full time staff has academic, industry, government agency, and military experience that supply our clients with a broad base of knowledge and capabilities when they need it. Our environmental staff possesses extensive experience in environmental technology and related areas of science, medicine, engineering and mathematics. Our energy and automation and control professionals include Licensed Professional Engineers, Certified Energy Managers, and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED ) Accredited Professionals, which provide technical services to clients in the areas of: energy auditing, measurement & verification, building commissioning, distributed energy resources, renewable energy resources, and building systems integration, process design and evaluation, and building systems.
